Robots are on the programme at Boston’s Seaport on September 26, with MassRobotics scheduling a free exhibition that brings research teams and technology companies before the public.
The organiser’s RoboBoston announcement lists more than 50 companies, universities and student groups for the ninth annual Robot Block Party.
What the programme includes
A sidewalk parade was scheduled for 10:45 a.m., followed by the exhibition from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Boston time at 88 Seaport Boulevard. The advertised demonstrations include drones, collaborative robots, robot dogs and underwater machines.
The public event follows a September 25 robotics and AI career fair.
This report describes the published programme. Attendance totals and accounts of individual demonstrations have not been independently confirmed.
For visitors, a useful question is what a demonstration actually shows: which tasks the machine performs, which require an operator, and whether the system is a prototype or a deployed product.
