Prince William and Kate brought all three of their children to the Commonwealth Games on August 1, giving Glasgow a full royal turnout as the Games entered their final stretch.
The family watched the netball final between Jamaica and Australia before heading pitch-side to meet volunteers and athletes. George, Charlotte and Louis then joined their parents at the velodrome, where two of Britain's most decorated Olympic cyclists — Sir Chris Hoy and Dame Laura Kenny — showed them around.
A packed summer for the Wales family
The Commonwealth Games stop capped off a busy few months for William and Kate's children. George became a teenager in July, marked with a family photo shared on the Wales family's official Instagram account, and the family had earlier taken George and Charlotte to the Wimbledon men's final, where World No. 1 Jannik Sinner asked the children whether they practice tennis daily. Both said they usually play on weekends.
Games close with King's message
King Charles sent a message ahead of the Closing Ceremony, calling the Games "a joyful celebration of all that unites our Commonwealth nations" and praising the "outstanding athletic excellence" on display throughout the fortnight.
For the Wales children, it was a rare joint public outing — George, Charlotte and Louis are usually seen together only a handful of times a year, most often at Wimbledon, Trooping the Colour, and the family's Christmas walk at Sandringham.
