It took only 10 minutes for Lamine Yamal to score his first world cup goal for Spain.
The 18 year old Barcelona attacker did not wait long to get his name on the scoresheet. Making his first world cup start after returning from injury as he performed upto the fans expectations.
Spain comfortably won 4-0 against Saudi Arabia and qualified for the knockout stage after a exhausting draw against Cape Verde in their World Cup opening match. This victory restores confidence to both, the team and the young star Lamine Yamal.
How good was Lamine Yamal against Saudi Arabia?
Yamal's world cup preparations were disrupted by a left hamstring injury suffered back in April. He had been fighting his way back to full fitness and was unable to make much of an impact against Cape Verde in his 19 minutes cameo. Meanwhile fellow superstars Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior all got off to a great start for their respective teams.
There were no doubts about Lamine Yamal starting against Saudi Arabia, despite still building back to100 percent fitness he was by far the most active player for Spanish team.

At just being 18 years and 343 days old Yamal became the 8th youngest goalscorer in world cup history.
By the time Yamal turns 19 in few weeks Spain will hope to be deep in this tournament and their young superstar will be on his way to even make more history.
